Welcome to the Autumn 2024 newsletter which includes details of the second single from first album release in ten years and news of Voice Events for the rest of 2024.

News

EGYPT

I was recently lucky enough to be part of a retreat with Darpan, on a first trip to Egypt which included a visit to the Pyramids and the desert.

NEW SHORT FILM

“Journey into Bwiti” is a short film based on an interview with a legend within the world of Plant Medicine, Ta Tayo. Filmed in Gabon last year, it’s received a positive response so far including 1350 views in the first month.

NGOMBI

I brought back a new harp called the Ngombi from Gabon last year which I’ve been enjoying exploring including sharing this original song at Voice Events “Malembe Malembe”. The harp originally comes from The Pygmies of The Central African Rainforest and was then adopted by local tribes.

NEW ALBUM

The second single from the first album in ten years is called Flower of Light. The album “Teacher in The Forest” by Ravi Freeman and Charlotte Mabon has been six years in the making and is a collaborative project between musicians and singers from the island of Ibiza & England and is a re-imagining of six of Nick Barber’s most iconic songs. Please support the project by buying the two singles so far released, and the full album which will be released in the new year and also listening via platforms such as Spotify and YouTube.
